Chemistry Lab Technician

Maternity Cover Temp
Our client is an independent company that develops and manufactures a range of organic cosmetics, toiletries and personal care products using a range of locally sourced organic oils and other ingredients. They are seeking a Lab Technician / Chemist for up to 12 months to provide cover for a colleague on maternity leave.
The role will involve mixing batches of a variety of formulations using in-house organic ingredients, carrying out testing and other pre-formulation studies and selection of ingredients and raw materials. After receiving training, you may also be involved with the laboratory scale-up and process development of new products.
Candidate:
Background in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or other relevant science subject.
Some relevant industry experience in a laboratory would be an advantage, however, full training can be given.
Strong administration skills with good attention to detail.
Must be well organised with excellent communication skills.
