Location – Manchester
Salary - £37,000 - £41,000

Puro Accountancy are delighted to be supporting an Accountancy practice within Manchester with their search for a full or part time permanent Audit Senior to join their friendly well-established team of accountancy professionals.
Responsibilities for the Semi Senior/Senior Accountant will include: - Manage the entire audit process from initiation to conclusion.
- Collaborate with the Responsible Individual (R.I) to determine the scope, duration, and plan of the audit.
- Review the work of audit team members and take responsibility for documenting audit findings, highlighting areas of concern, and reporting them within specified deadlines.
- Take charge of conducting on-site audits, adhering to the agreed-upon plan, coordinating resources, assigning tasks to team members, and ensuring timely completion.
- Exercise sound judgment and draw from experience to overcome obstacles and address time-sensitive issues.
- Lead efforts to maintain audit quality, ensuring compliance with company protocols, standardised documents, and auditing norms.
- Uphold confidentiality as a Data Processor in line with GDPR regulations, ensuring Audit Assistants' compliance.
- Proactively identify potential risks or problems, suggesting solutions, and promptly addressing or reporting them as necessary.
- Address any review points raised by Senior Managers comprehensively.
- Compile Annual Financial Statements for evaluation.
- Maintain an updated final audit file, following established best practices for documentation and storage, whether manual or electronic.
To be considered for the role of Semi Senior/Senior Accountant you will be/have: - Will need 2+ years within a Senior External Audit Role
- ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant
- Part Qualified and QBE will be considered
- Have experience with automation of sampling techniques
- Skilled in utilising the CCH accounts preparation system and CRONER
- Effective communicator, comfortable communicating with clients and peers at all levels
