Due to an expansion of our team, Sale High School is looking to appoint 2 Cover Supervisors to support students in their progress and attainment. 

We believe that our team of Cover Supervisors make a real difference to the success of a school and every pupil in it. Everything we do is aimed at providing outstanding teaching, learning and pastoral support to our young people. About the Role:

To work under the direct instruction of the School Cover Manager and the Operations Manager:

·        Providing supervision of tutor groups and classes in the case of teacher absence

·        Working under guidance of teaching staff to support agreed work programmes with individuals or groups of students

·        Communicating work set by teachers to the pupils responding to any questions from them about processes and procedures

·        Managing the behaviour of students whilst they are undertaking work to ensure a constructive work environment

About You:

You will have significant experience of supervising young people, ideally in an educational environment. You will also need:

·        Good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE grade C/4 or above)

·        Knowledge of safeguarding

·        To be able to work effectively as part of a team

·        Ability to enthuse and engage young people

·        Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines

·        Flexibility and resilience
