Job description
Chelmsford City Racecourse, the UK’s newest racecourse, is looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to help build the most innovative brand in British racing.
As a key part of our marketing team, you will be responsible for the racecourse’s digital marketing efforts, helping to innovate tactics and grow annual attendances at racing, hospitality, live music, and private events from our target audiences.
Supported by the Head of Marketing & Creative you will take responsibility for the effective use of digital tools and platforms, including website, ticketing, email, and data. You will lead the automation of campaigns (onboarding, retention, etc), the planning, deployment and optimisation of SEO and advertising campaigns including Google Ads, social media advertising, remarketing, and influencer marketing. You will help to improve the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through excellent testing, reporting, and optimization of tactics and budgets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Management and optimization of Chelmsford City Racecourse website using WordPress.
• Add and optimize ticket and digital product pages on website.
• Working with external agencies to deliver website development and ticketing projects.
• Ensure excellent coverage of racecourse events across partner and listing sites.
• Monitor SEO performance for events and products, working with third party agency to improve.
• Creation and delivery of effective email campaigns and newsletters.
• Creation and delivery of effective PPC campaigns.
• Support the build of audience personas and relevant data segments.
• Support appropriate campaign targeting and data use.
• Tactical and strategic management of our customer database and it’s growth.
• Manage the racecourse’s rewards programme.
• Development and management of the racecourse app.
• Management of profiles of the racecourse on partner websites.
• Measure digital marketing results and report regularly on performance, ROI and spend.
• Help the racecourse attract premium digital partnerships and sponsors.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
• Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
• Experience within a general or digital marketing position.
• Experience working with digital products and platforms.
• Some experience within hospitality, sports, or luxury sector preferable.
