Job description




Adecco Worcester are recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environment Manager which is a core role within the Operations Team. You will be responsible for establishing, implementing and overseeing all safe working practices across two manufacturing facilities. The HSE Manager will continually work to understand industry best practices and act as a champion for developing internal processes accordingly. The role is responsible for overseeing the ISO14001:2015 certified Environmental Management System and developing an Occupational Health and Safety Management system that would comply with the requirements of ISO45001:2018.

Key Tasks:

* Overseeing, improving and reporting on the status of the Environmental Management System

* Development of an effective and robust Occupational Health and Safety Management System

* Management of Compliance procedures including identification, reviewing updates and ensuring adequate actions are taken to comply with all relevant requirements

* Implementation and oversight of a Corporate Sustainability Programme

* Identification of training requirements and delivering of training in regards to Health, Safety and the Environment

* Acting as a leader and mentor at all levels of the business to inspire a positive HSE culture gaining buy in for new initiatives and encouraging participation in such activities.

* Ownership and continual development of Risk Assessments, COSHH management, Environmental Permitting, Incident Control and Emergency Preparedness procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :

* NEBOSH diploma qualified or equivalent preferential

* Extensive experience in leading HSE initiatives or teams with a proven record of effective change management

* A developed understanding of lean sigma principles (Green belt qualification advantageous)

* A drive to reduce the environmental impact of the business and to develop the team around you to help implement and maintain the required changes

* Experience of developing or managing ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 management systems

* Internal Auditor qualified
