Job description

Our client seeks a Tax Manager to join their team. Role Profile: You will help support the main Board Directors and wider tax team in respect of all tax matters (primarily planning, advisory and project focused). With significant exposure to UK and non-UK tax matters in ideally a property or construction-based setting, you will have the opportunity to drive improvements in the group's tax processes. Given recent expansion of the business in the UK mainland, changing tax landscape and small team size, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and will develop a broad skill set and give you significant exposure to UK/Non-UK tax matters. Key Responsibilities: Review the Group's tax compliance across all jurisdictions, including occasional VAT returns. Tax review of management accounts and assist with the review of the Group's tax accounting arrangements. Technical research. Provide tax advice to internal stakeholders and provide input to Group projects. Taxes applicable include UK income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, as well as Jersey and Isle of Man tax. Liaise with the Group's external tax advisers to take formal advice as appropriate. Assist with driving forward tax projects within the tax team e.g., R&D tax credits, transfer pricing, etc. Monitor and advise on the impact of legislative changes for the Group. Respond to HMRC and other tax authorities' enquiries. Key Skills and Experience: Essential Tax qualification (ATT, CTA) with relevant post-qualification experience. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own projects. Great rapport building, technical research. problem-solving, team player and people skills Desirable Experience with tax planning and structuring across several jurisdictions, including the UK, IOM, and Jersey.
