Job description

Our client is looking for an analytical individual to join their team in the role of Tax Officer. Role Profile: This induvial will be the Tax SME for all client related queries relating to FATCA and CRS within CIIOM, ultimately assisting the business to manage and comply with its obligations relating to FATCA & CRS. Key Responsibilities: Perform quality control over FATCA & CRS data and validation of tax forms. Handling first line of defence enquires of all matters related to client tax reporting. Proactively identify new/amendments to procedures and controls to enhance operations. Support with annual tax reporting. Provide oversight and deliver training where required to support the understanding and adherence of policies and local regulations. Key Skills and Experience: Comfortable with large data sets, detailed knowledge of Excel required. Ability to interrogate data in various formats XLS, XML, CSV etc. Knowledge of Channel Islands and Isle of Man local regulations in relation to tax obligations. Excellent analytical and communication skills required. Ability to build and maintain effective networks formally and informally across jurisdictions/ lines of business, both onshore and offshore. Knowledge of WPB clients, general banking products, FATCA and CRS preferred but can be taught.
