Senior Communications Manager (External)

The Scottish SPCA is seeking to appoint a Senior Communications Manager (External) to join our Communications team.

As a senior member of the Communications team, the Senior Communications Manager will provide key input to the communications strategy and drive the subsequent operational plans. You will be the go-to- contact at the Scottish SPCA for all things external communications and campaigns. Covering PR, media relations and corporate communications, you will ensure a consistent approach to proactive and reactive storytelling and ensure the Society’s priority strategic messaging is reflected consistently across all external messaging.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in a communications role, with strong knowledge of the Scottish media landscape and experience of working with and building relationships with a variety of journalists and media outlets. Candidates must also have significant experience of creating, managing and evaluating integrated campaigns, of crisis communications and reputation management and leading on plans and communications project management.

This is a full-time post of 35 hour per week, hybrid working between home and Headquarters in Dunfermline.
