The Psychological Services Directorate at EPUT invests in our staff through robust supervision, CPD opportunities and flexible working; welcomes innovative thinking; values and cares about the wellbeing of our staff.

We want to welcome a Psychologist with interest in Cancer and Palliative Care across West-Essex and East and North Hertfordshire, a service which works with individuals and families affected by cancer and a palliative care diagnosis.

The service also aims to reduce occupational burnout and improve the psychological competencies of clinical staff by rolling out a programme of clinical supervision and training opportunities to multidisciplinary team colleagues. The successful candidate will be working in teams in the acute, community and hospice settings in West Essex 4 days per week and in East and North Hertfordshire for one day per week in a well-established service. The post-holder will be a core member of our wider Clinical Health Psychology Service through regular meetings, trainings and supervision opportunities.

Newly Qualified Psychologist's would be welcomed to apply at Band 7.

Working in a psycho-oncology service requires advanced communication skills in working with clients during the most critical and testing times in their lives. Your personal attitude and resilience will be a key resource in succeeding in this role. Experience of evidence based therapy is essential as well as knowledge of neuropsychological assessments. Multidisciplinary work is a key part of this role.

The post-holder will be required to work in partnership with non-psychology professionals and develop a holistic approach to patients care.
