Job description

We are looking for an engaged and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our team and lead on fieldwork projects across the UK. Based out of any of our offices (Barnard Castle, Darlington, Dundee or Maidstone preferred – hybrid/home working considered) you will be an integral part of the continued development of Rocket Heritage & Archaeology. You will be the key point of contact between the fieldwork team and the Technical Director/Company Directors. You will have proven experience of ensuring historic environment projects are effectively managed to meet financial and delivery targets, a record of writing and editing technical documentation for fieldwork, and experience as a main point of contact for clients and consultees. As a Project Manager, you will be comfortable with organising the logistical requirements of projects, working with and providing instruction to our administrative team. You will also have a sound understanding of health and safety legislation, and experience of producing and agreeing Risk Assessments. You will work to ensure that work is effectively programmed so that deadlines can be met.

An adaptable individual who is able to contribute to business development activities, you will liaise with the wider Rocket Group multidisciplinary team (ecology, architecture, media and construction). As you will be in regular contact with clients and Rocket team members, you will be an excellent communicator, with a professional and courteous manner.

We are passionate about supporting both traditional and non-traditional routes into the profession. You will be asked to support our trainees with their development through a documented training plan.
