Our client seeks a Risk Manager to join their team.Role Profile: This role encompasses all aspects of enterprise risk management across Group. The role would suit an ambitious risk manager who is excited about supporting the growth of a dynamic consolidator of life insurance portfolios. Key Responsibilities: Support the CRO to ensure that:The entities' processes to identify, measure, monitor, manage and report risks are embedded effectively, and operate in line with expectations.Collaboration takes place with the Senior Management Team Board to agree on technical aspects, e.g. risk pricing, hedging, reinsurance, underwriting, catastrophe cover etc.The entities' ORSA process performs smoothly.Risk reviews are performed addressing the Company's key risks, including those arising in relation to consolidation activity.Independent second line risk management oversight is provided across key internal projects and on integration and migration activity.Analyses are carried out to assess the likelihood and impact of risk across the full risk spectrum, including market, credit, insurance, liquidity, operational and strategic risks.Support is given to acquired businesses and portfolios to embed the Group Risk Management Framework in a proportionate manner.Risk management training is provided.Guidance is provided to Line 1 departments on their procedures relating to risk matters Risk owned policies and procedures are reviewed and maintained.Latest industry and regulatory risk management developments are identified and necessary changes to policies and procedures are made. Key Skills and Experience:Hold professional insurance or risk qualifications and have relevant life insurance experience particularly in Isle of Man and Singapore.Be accurate, consistent and work to deadlines.Possess integrity, a questioning mind, neutrality, and independence of judgement.Have the capability to robustly challenge others.Be good at communicating with discretion and tact.Maintain Continual Personal Development and keep up to date with industry best practice.Have a can do work ethic and be willing to work non-standard hours as departmental and Companywide operational needs require.Be comfortable working within and contributing to a small professional team but equally be able to work by own initiative.Have a positive and professional approach in keeping with the Company's corporate values.Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the operational aspects of the Group's insurance business across the relevant regions, and the associated risks.Carry out duties with integrity and diligence, ensuring that professional standards are maintained, that all corporate requirements and reporting deadlines are met, that records are maintained, and that processes and controls are fit for purpose and meet internal and regulatory requirements.
