The role:

To support us within the energy transition we are looking for an individual to work within our Compressor Engineering team to help us develop new and existing Core Engine compressor modules within the small gas turbine product range.

In this position you will be required to carry-out aerodynamic design activities, using 1D and 3D design and analysis tools including CFD.

The role also includes assessment of aero-mechanical behaviour – requiring the application of knowledge and use of tools related to forced response and flutter induced blade vibration.

You will also help define and support engine and rig testing programmes and carry-out pre & post-test analyses as required.

To carry-out these activities the compressor aerodynamics engineer will apply and develop knowledge of coding, eg. Python and will contribute towards the further development of existing and new technical tools and methods, including the use of Machine Learning.

Ideally you are qualified to Masters Degree level in aerodynamics or a related discipline.
