We are recruiting a position for
an IT Support Company where you will gain valuable experience as a Level 3 Information Communications Technician, following the Support Technician pathway. We pride ourselves on the support we give our apprentices, you won’t be left on your own to figure things out, we will support you throughout your apprenticeship journey together with your employer!
About the Employer: DSPE UK Ltd started in 2020 and has been offering professional services to Education and event spaces ever since. We provide the full range of services and you’ll get involved in the full lifecycle of project and service delivery in this role.
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: An Information Communications Technician (ICT) provides support to internal and external customers, by using tools or systems to problem solve and trouble-shoot routine and non-routine problems. This occupation supports our team and customers with their systems. They achieve this through monitoring and maintaining the systems and/or platforms to maximise productivity and user experience.
KEY DUTIES: - Provide technical support to customers both internal and external through a range of communication channels
- Install and configure relevant software and hardware as appropriate for example mobile apps, printers, projectors, scanners and cameras.
- Address IT issues by prioritising in response to customer service level agreements
- Administer security access requirements and permissions for stakeholders escalating as necessary for example password resets
- Support the roll-out of upgrades or new systems or applications
- To provide first and second line IT and AV support services to end-users
- Configure, test, and deploy end-user devices including laptops, tablets, desktop PCs, phones, and printers.
- Ensure that all aspects of support processes are documented and kept up to date.
- Manage (create, amend, delete and report) user accounts on all education systems including m365, Active Directory and other learning and administrative school systems.
- Assist in the onboarding process of new starters, ensuring that all PCs, laptops, software, peripherals, accounts are working on the first day.
- Assist with the deployment of computers, including mobile devices to end-users
- Ensure all classrooms and equipment are maintained and in optimum working order.
- Provide administrative and project implementation support.
- To assist in the provision of school-wide systems and services.
- To maintain and support all school end-user devices and peripherals.
- Maintain the IT asset and configuration management databases.
- Ensure that end-user systems and services meet health and safety requirements.
- To provide instruction to end-users in the use of end-user IT and AV facilities and services.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS: - An Information Communications Technician is not expected to have undergone any formal training or hold qualifications for this role but some informal learning relevant to the role is desirable.
- Study towards and achieve the Information Communications Technician apprenticeship standard
- Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths or equivalent Grade C/ 4 or above.
The training you'll be provided with: - Comprehensive introductory modules to technical concepts
- Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship standard
- Training for all pathways of your IT career (support technician, network technician, digital communications technician)
- Specialising in a portfolio of evidence for the Support Technician pathway
- e-learning training materials
- Bi-weekly virtual classroom training on all options of the apprenticeships;
- Access to virtual labs to develop technical competency
- Monthly work-based coaches visits and competency checks
- 9 am – 5 pm Support desk for technical support
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and Key Skills development
- Option for vendor and technical certificates- e.g. CompTIA
You will also have the opportunity to network with a range of other apprentices on our programme who can share ideas, offer suggestions and support. Our apprentices love being able to help each other!
As one of our apprentices you will also have access to our online portal that will provide you with information and technical guidance, as well as links to the helpdesk to speak to technicians who can give real-time advice and support.

SALARY: £15,000 - £20,000
WORKING HOURS : 40 Hours per week 8:30 – 17:00 Mon-Fri, 1 hour for lunch
OTHER : Enhanced DBS checks
Expected Duration: 15 months and 4 Months End Point Assessment

We also offer a progressive step in some cases, onto our Level 4 Network Engineer apprenticeship programme.
