Job description

An exceptional candidate is sought for the post of Deputy Head (Pastoral) from September 2024.

Reporting directly to the Head, the successful candidate will take responsibility for pastoral life at Dauntsey’s, looking after the education and wellbeing of both the boarding and day communities. They will need to be a respected leader, and someone who is able to influence and motivate others. They will need to be focused on driving continual improvement, whilst ensuring that Dauntsey’s maintains the highest quality of pastoral care for the school community. The role will oversee the implementation of strategy and policy in this area and will be the senior day-to-day practitioner on pastoral matters in the school. It will also involve a small curriculum teaching commitment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the continued success of Dauntsey’s at an exciting time in the school’s history.
