H ead of Computer Science

TLR 2B £5,347pa, Permanent, Full Time from September 2024

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Computer Science to join us in September 2024 to lead and develop the Computer Science department, ensuring there is an engaging and inspiring Computer Science curriculum across key stages 3 and 4 which motivates and enables students to learn well and to progress.

The successful applicant will be able to teach across Key Stages to students of all abilities as well as demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers who want to broaden their experience in a growing, dynamic and innovative department. We would also consider applications from ECT2 teachers for this post.

We are looking for someone who:

·        Is an outstanding practitioner, passionate about their subject and knowledgeable about the best classroom practice and assessment in Computer Science;

·        Has ambition, drive and ability to develop and lead a department where students learn well and succeed;

·        Has the ability to use data to promote improvement;

·        Can demonstrate a proven track record of delivering successful student outcomes;

·        Has strong communication skills.
