Job: English Teacher

School: Secondary Academy, Bexley, Southeast London

Annual Salary:  MPS/UPS outer London (£34,568 - £51,237 per annum) + possible TLR

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Start date: April 2024or September 2024

Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary Academy in Bexley, in Southeast London bordering Kent. They are looking for a permanent English Teacher to start in April or September 2024.

As an English Teacher, you’ll plan and deliver outstanding lessons, inspire students and contribute to the continuing development of the English curriculum and the department whilst ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and achievement and efficient use of resources.

The English department is a well-resourced, key curriculum area within the Academy. You will have the drive, high standards and passion to enthuse our pupils and make a real difference to their outcomes and life chances.

At KS3, they follow a Mastery Curriculum which is designed to embed the knowledge and skills needed for success at KS4 and KS5 and an interest in developing your practice in this area would be advantageous.

The school is also driving a focus on reading across the curriculum and a passion for reading and literacy would be advantageous.

The school has excellent facilities, free car parking and good transport links.
