Our client are a leading company in the industry and renowned for their involvement with the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Telecommunication services on Infrastructure Projects throughout the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to be based out of an office in Oxfordshire. This is a long–term contract opportunity in which you will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in managing the Oxford Railway Station project from a commercial, strategic, and program perspective, with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Oxford Railway Station project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to time–lines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders, with a focus on achieving project objectives and maximising value for the client.
- Manage all aspects of the project, including procurement, cost control, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Utilise your strong M&E background to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, communications, and fire detection systems.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an MEP Project Manager, with a focus on railway projects and a commercial, strategic, and program bias perspective.
- Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, communications, and fire detection.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications or professional memberships are a plus.
