Role Description: This role is vital to the values we believe in, of safeguarding the health and safety of our people, and changing the long-term impact we have on the environment.
•Keep the staff, customers, and clients safe by ensuring we adhere to legislation and best practices with regards to health and safety.
•To review, implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental procedures.
•To highlight issues or concerns, leading a process of continual improvement and an awareness of health, safety, and environmental issues at all work levels.
•Work with senior management to implement environmental and sustainability initiatives.
•Be responsible for the management and reporting of the companies carbon footprint.
•Support how customers achieve their CSR objectives through collaboration and strong reporting.
•To influence, coach and inspire all employees to strive to provide a safe working environment where everyone understands their legal and moral obligations with regards to health and safety in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
•Organise H&S meetings as per statutory requirements.
•Carbon footprint reporting
•Overall responsibility and compliance of the Company’s HS&E, making sure staff are aware of the importance and follow safety and environmental protocol.
•Advise managers and directors on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental.
•Implement practical and effective methods of promoting health and safety and safe working practices in the workplace.
•Conduct relevant health and safety training for staff as required, including first aid and fire safety.
•Conduct all “risk assessments” as required by legislation and are reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.
•To carry out investigations into accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
•Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports and documents as required.
•Bring to the attention of the Leadership Team any relevant new legislation.
•Conduct internal and compliance audits, report on findings and manage any issues found through to completion.
•Create and help implement environmental and sustainability projects to continually improve the business processes.
The ideal candidate:
•NEBOSH Diploma
•IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management
Preferred qualifications:
•Food Safety Level 3
•A strong knowledge of CDM regulations would be an advantage.

Working Hours:
•Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
•Office based.
