The Role - Special Needs Teaching Assistant
For this role you will be working 1-1 with pupils. The school is an all through SEN school with children aged from 3-19 years old. You will be appointed a class/child to work 1-1 with. However, you may be required to work in different classes or with different children. The pupils have the primary diagnosis of Autism however there are a range of needs such as ADHD, Downs Syndrome. You will be assisting with life skills as well as academic work and making sure that they are kept safe and motivated.
The School - SEN School
This is an 'Outstanding' SEN school and one of the largest in Surrey. There are currently 146 pupils but the capacity of 150. There is 1 lead teacher in each class, with a lead teaching assistant and then teaching assistants. There are generally 8 pupils in a class. The school have a very supportive friendly team. There is also parking on site and close transport links.
