Job description
With a strong reputation in the accountancy profession this firm of Chartered Accountants are likely to an attractive proposition as they look to appoint a Payroll officer to their team. Based in Darlington we are looking for a Payroll Officer who has worked with multiple payrolls or bureau payroll.
Working as part of a wider team you will be jointly responsible for the full service delivery of payroll services to a large number of local businesses both on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. This will include all aspects from data collation, manual calculations for SSP/SMP/SPP, deductions, payments, reports, auto-enrolment and pension administration.
In addition all year end P60 reports will form part of this position as will ensuring that all payroll activities meet legislative and statutory requirements.
To achieve this process seamlessly it will require a strong communicator, both internally with your team and externally with your clients. The role of customer service plays heavily in this position and we are looking for someone who values this and is able to develop strong relationships with their clients.
The firm can offer flexible start and finish times alongside hybrid working after probation.
