We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Operations Lead to join our team. As the lead representative for Consumer Duty, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our adherence to Consumer Duty regulations. You will collaborate with peers from other businesses within the division to ensure alignment in our approach to shared areas and also collaborate on projects aimed at enhancing them.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure compliance with Consumer Duty regulations.
- Conduct weekly sessions with the IT team to discuss Acturis and ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Work closely with the Learning and Development team to ensure completion of trainings and identify training needs for bespoke programs.
- Maintain regular communication with the Finance department through weekly calls to address issues related to bad debt, PCL, cancellations, etc.
- Conduct regular reviews with insurers to maintain strong relationships and stay updated on policy wording changes.
- Act as the main point of contact for any queries or concerns related to Consumer Duty.
- Collaborate with local managers to provide support and guidance on Consumer Duty-related matters.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our adherence to Consumer Duty regulations and propose improvements where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, within the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of Consumer Duty regulations and their implications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using Acturis or similar insurance software.
- Familiarity with finance-related processes such as debt management and cancellations.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with insurers.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
