Job description
Overview
We are looking for someone with excellent negotiation and communication skills to join a growing company in Wimbledon as a Supply Chain Manager.
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000
The Role
- Building and maintaining good strategic relationships with key supply partners, links with contacts at different levels
- Evaluating the suitability and capability of possible new supply partners
- Negotiating supply contract terms and service level agreements
- Ensuring that significant purchases are strategically analysed negotiated prior to orders being placed
- Establishing and maintain an approved supplier list
- Analysing factors affecting costs, negotiate any attempted price rises, watch commodity costs
- Identifying areas with potential for savings, research alternatives and run pricing exercises to find ways of increasing sustainable profits
Key Skills/Experience
- Ability to organize and manage workload
- Communication both verbal and written including report writing
- Ability to work under pressure
- High level of interpersonal skills including ability to be able to interact with Suppliers and agents and Reservations and Sales Manager
- Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations
- Proactive approach to work
- Flexible approach to travel
- MS Office (word, excel) essential
