SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant - Southampton
Academics are recruiting on behalf of a 'Good' SEN School based in Totton, Southampton. They cater for children from the age of 2-19 years with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, MLD, SLD, PMLD.
They are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join them ASAP on a full-time, term-time contract.
The school is set over two sites which are a mile apart and split into early years/primary and secondary/further education.
Due to the needs of the students, you will be required to carry out feeding and personal hygiene duties when needed.
This role is suited to someone who loves working with children with special needs and enjoys getting stuck in. As many of their needs are severe, you will be involved in creating a fun and safe learning environment for their pupils and carry out various activities such as floor work, arts and crafts, swimming etc.
This is a full-time, ongoing role starting ASAP. For those looking for a permanent position, they also offer temp to perm contracts.
