Overview
A family living in Denton, Northamptonshire (within a short commute of Northampton, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Wellingborough and all surrounding villages) are searching for an experienced daily Nanny who is happy to travel with them both in the UK and overseas. A French or German speaking nanny would be a bonus but is not a requirement. The family have 3 & 5-year-old boys and the role will be both sole and shared charge.
The start date is flexible and at some point between June and September.
The position is Monday to Friday working a split-shift from 7am-11am and then 2pm-6pm (8 hours a day / 40 hours a week). The salary on offer is £13-15 gross per hour, dependent on experience.
The main duties include: age appropriate games and activities; playing in the garden and local parks and walks; role play in the playroom; creative arts and messy play; learning and homework with the children; read to and with them; speak to them in French or German so they begin to pick-up a second language; keep the house tidy; cook for the family; laundry for the children; keep their rooms clean; dog walking.
Basic housekeeping and day-to-day tidying is a part of the role and the family have a cleaner a few days a week to carry out heavy-duty cleaning.
The family have two dogs, so you should be comfortable around them and happy to walk them from time to time.
The family would ideally like their nanny to join them during school holidays when they travel - this is not a deal-breaker and can be discussed.
A driving licence is required.
The family's ideal nanny will be positive and kind. Someone active who visibly loves children and has an interest in their learning and education (formally where required but primarily learning through play), in order to help make learning fun for them. Someone who loves to play with children, and enjoys active games outdoors - as the boys love being in nature. Someone who has lots of energy and who is creative, professional, organised and flexible.
