About Our Client
This client work predominantly across the healthcare/education sector on a wide range of projects in partnership with healthcare providers. These projects can range anywhere from £2-40m in value and as a business they are looking at expanding both their client base and volume of workload across the coming year.
Job Description
This role will involve:
- Lead and oversee the preconstruction phase of property development projects from inception to handover.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for preconstruction activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as design, engineering, and procurement to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including contractors, architects, consultants, and local authorities.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analysis to inform decision-making throughout the preconstruction process.
- Provide leadership and guidance to preconstruction teams, fostering collaboration and driving performance excellence.
- Monitor industry trends, regulations, and best practices to optimise preconstruction methodologies and deliver innovative solutions.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and key stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and mitigate risks during the preconstruction phase.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate for this position will either currently hold a similar role or be engaged in bid management, seeking advancement into a newly established position within a growing business.
Experience with framework projects within the construction sector, preferably within a contracting environment, would be highly advantageous. The role will encompass preconstruction, design, planning, and commercial aspects, thus familiarity with all these areas would be desirable.
Given the substantial client-facing responsibilities, confidence in stakeholder and customer interactions, as well as effective collaboration with colleagues and senior management, is paramount.
