Overview
Crowd Connected is a rapidly expanding vendor of technology to the live events sector.
The primary responsibility of this new role is to manage all logistical aspects of Crowd Connected's technology at venues worldwide, ensuring the requisite equipment and personnel are present for successful deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Documentation
- Liaise with relevant internal and external parties in a timely fashion to understand the requirements, expectations and commitments for each deployment.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date calendar of deployments capturing all relevant details including deadlines.
- Develop and manage checklists and forms, detailing the transportation, setup, retrieval and return of equipment and personnel.
- Ensure availability of all necessary technology equipment and onsite personnel for each deployment.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for best practice process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare budgets for each deployment and reconcile costs post-deployment
- Identify and implement improvements to maximise efficiency in end-to-end process.
- Foster positive relationships with partners to enhance collaboration.
Equipment
- Manage inventory and ensure all necessary equipment is available for each deployment, working with Crowd Connected's external logistics partners, vendors/suppliers and/or handling stock held centrally by Crowd Connected.
- Ensure equipment is checked to ensure functionality and troubleshoot any issues prior to dispatch.
- Coordinate the timely transportation and storage of technology assets from/to multiple warehouse locations.
Personnel
- Source and allocate appropriate onsite personnel to deployments, where required, to deliver a first-class service to clients, to budget.
- Liaise with clients to understand requirements, including venue specifics.
- Coordinate and book international/regional transport and accommodation.
- Clearly communicate with onsite personnel to ensure each individual understands the requirements in respect of the specific deployment.
- Be the primary contact for onsite personnel including in respect of any deviation from standard operating procedures, addressing logistical challenges, problem resolution, and approval of expectational out-of-pocket expenditure.
- Check and approve invoices and expenses claims.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
- 1+ years of experience in event logistics coordination, preferably in the technology industry.
- University degree level qualification preferred.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-managed multitasker, unphased by the pressure of deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with technology products and their setup is a plus.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Excel/Google Sheet
Location / Line Manager
- Guildford, UK
- The role is primarily office-based but with a flexible remote working policy and the potential opportunity for international travel as the role develops.
