Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Supervisor who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Your role will be to supervise and monitor the work of the audiology administration team using appointment computer systems to book, cancel and answer patient appointment enquiries on the telephone and via email.

The post-holder will be responsible for their team’s work allocation and performance, managing their rotas, training, annual leave, and sickness.

You need to have excellent communication and people-skills, enjoy working as part of a team and be able to deal with busy and sometimes challenging situations to manage your workload effectively.

The job requires good computer skills and a positive approach.

You will also liaise with Audiologist, along with clinicians and support staff in other departments.

Although primarily based at Lister Hospital, you may, on occasions, be required to travel between our three hospital sites, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City and Hertford.

Day to day responsibility for administrators and ensuring activity is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.

Monitoring reports, liaising with clinicians and senior management to address and escalate concerns.

Ensuring the patient journey follows the appropriate pathway and is in line with Trust standards and targets.

General management of office environment, ordering equipment and managing health and safety issues that may arise.

Liaising with other departments within the hospital as required.
