Job description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Housekeeper/Cook with a positive, can-do attitude to work for an ultra-high-net-worth family of 4 in their lovely home in Camden, London. Working independently, you will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of this luxury property. The successful candidate will be required to travel with the principles every now and again so a valid passport is essential.

You will have good knowledge of cleaning products and know how to care for fine furnishings and fabrics. Energetic and flexible in your approach, you will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to preempt needs, ensuring that the principals’ expectations are exceeded. Other duties will include laundry care, as well as cooking for the family when needed. The ideal candidate will be attentive, well-presented and have a strong work ethic and positive attitude as well as being very friendly and personable, whilst still remaining discreet and boundary.

The working shifts would be Monday – Saturday and the cooking required would be family style meals. Accommodation is provided on the premises in a separate cottage and all bills will be covered by the principle.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms
• Cooking for the family
• Caring for artworks, silver, antiques etc.
• Laundry and ironing
• Ad-hoc duties
• Working independently
• Ensure the smooth running of the household
• Traveling with the family

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• 5 years of Housekeeper experience in a private household
• Fluency in English both spoken and written
• Hardworking and dedicated
• High attention to detail
• Flexibility with hours and duties
• Team player
• Valid passport
• Trustworthy and reliable
• DBS checked or willingness to obtain a DBS check
• Excellent checkable references
