FULL DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for a Trainee Sales Engineer for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primarily an office-based position, we are seeking a person with sales and practical experience to communicate with customers on a regular basis and submit proposals for the supply of equipment, accessories and spares.
- Responsibility for the generation, receipt and recording of sales enquiries; the subsequent compilation for approval of cost estimates and quotations – through to the presentation of proposals to the clients.
- In time, following specific product training and hands-on experience, the role would develop into that of a more technical sales advisor having face-to-face contact with customers when required.
- The successful candidate would be expected to show initiative regarding future sales opportunities and contribute to the business development of the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essentials:
- Engineering background/experience.
- Sales experience required.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft suite including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Must work well in a small team of people, with the willingness for flexibility required by a combined sales/warehouse/servicing environment.
- Communicate well with others.
Main product ranges:
- Fluid transfer pumps – principally pneumatic, but with a developing range of electrically operated pumps.
- This includes a wide selection of medium and high pressure pumping and spraying systems for the application of protective coatings.
- Basic stand-alone pumps for a variety of industrial applications, up to integrated fluid supply and dispensing systems.
- Equipment for surface preparation, and related products in connection with industrial painting processes.
Some degree of experience with these products would be desired, but training will be given – primarily in-house but also from the equipment manufacturers.
