Job description
Appointment of Deputy Principals at Ifield Community College
Thank you for your interest in these posts which come at a very exciting time for Ifield Community College. I have recently been appointed to the post of Principal from September 2024, whilst my colleague, Carol McIver-Wren, is retiring after nine years at the school, giving rise to two Deputy Principal posts. We are looking to appoint two outstanding and experienced senior colleagues to lead our Quality of Education and Community teams respectively. Both Deputies will take on a significant role in the day-to-day strategic and operational leadership of the school. I hope that having read this information you will be both excited by the post and the prospect of developing your career with us. In the last academic year, the Governing Body at ICC decided that in order to continue to build on its recent successes and best support the future of the school and its community, that the school should academise and join a multi-academy trust. consequently, after careful consideration and due diligence, it was approved for ICC to join The Collegiate Trust (TCT), a family of 8 schools in Crawley and Croydon, whose ethos and culture are very much aligned to ICC. The transfer is expected to have taken place before September 2024. Ifield Community College is a popular, oversubscribed, Ofsted GOOD school with a clear vision to deliver successful outcomes and positive futures for all of our students. As Deputy Principal, you will make a significant contribution to the Senior Leadership Team by leading on Quality of Education (including curriculum, teaching & learning, raising achievement and professional development) or Community (including behaviour, standards, inclusion and student wellbeing). The person specification identifies the experience, skills and attributes we are seeking, but in short we are looking for: Outstanding teachers, dynamic leaders and inspirational role modelsJob tags
