Responsibility for the development, operational delivery, and assurance of Covid-19 vaccination clinics in Tower Hamlets, including associated communications and engagement activity.
This programme of work encompasses clinics delivered via local primary care, community clinics, pop-up clinics, the anticipated Autumn/Winter booster programme and promotion of mass vaccination opportunities outside the borough.
Knowledge
Proficient in project and programme management approaches / methodologies
Good knowledge of a range of Covid-19 response requirements, such as testing and vaccination
A good understanding of services, structures and financial management in local government and the NHS
Qualifications& Experience
Demonstrable experience of initiating and leading complex projects and programmes with significant change management elements within a large, political, organisation.
Extensive experience of dealing with managers and staff at all levels and across organisational boundaries; building relationships in order to achieve agreed objectives.
Advanced IT skills in relation to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio or other project tools
Experience of working in a politically sensitive environment. Has the ability to exercise discretion, judgement and confidentiality when dealing with politicians and officers at every level, and to demonstrate political neutrality at all times
Substantial Experience of working successfully with a diverse range of professions and stakeholders and a proven ability to work effectively at senior management level.
Experience of managing the operational delivery of people based services
Ability to write reports and deliver presentations to successfully engage a wide range of audiences, including senior managers and elected members.
Proven ability of bringing creative solutions to problems
Able to present complex issues clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and to develop appropriate promotional material.
Has excellent presentation skills and is able to express self clearly, develop powerful arguments and communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences
