Community District Nurse (DN)

MedGen has acquired multiple opportunities for a District Nurse to join our growing team. District Nurses provide care to patients in their own homes and in residential care homes. They also support the family members of the patient.

District Nurses play an important role in keeping hospital admissions and re-admissions to a minimum .

If you are a compassionate and knowledgeable caregiver with previous nursing experience, we encourage you to apply.

As a District Nurse you will be involved in

· Assessing the healthcare needs of patients

· Monitoring the level of care patients receive

· Offering advice and support to families

· Providing complex care for patients

· Prescribing medication

· Assessing patients’ needs for at-home equipment, such as mobility aids or specialist beds

· Follow-up care for inpatients recently discharged from hospital.

· Monitoring the quality of care that patients are receiving.

· Working collaboratively with general practitioners to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions

As a District Nurse you will have:

Being highly professional is of course, incredibly important, but equally as desirable is your ability to communicate, empathize and successfully provide the highest level of care to your patients and colleagues. Due to our compliance process, it's important to note that currently, we can only accept UK based candidates with previous experience of nursing in the UK. We also require our nurses to possess:

· An NMC pin

· A recent DBS check.

· At least one year’s experience gained in a clinical nursing along with a Specialist practitioner Degree.

· The right to work in the UK.

· Ability to lead and manage a team.

· Good communication and listening skills.
