Job description
Langdon Academy
STEM Coordinator
Required for September 2024
Main/Upper Inner-London Scale - TLR 2B
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and successful Trust and lead STEM within Langdon Academy. You will preferably teach a STEM subject and have a thorough understanding of the importance of developing STEM within the curriculum.
We are fortunate in already having a very strong team in place with outstanding colleagues and inspirational leaders, working within excellent facilities.
Our most recent GCSE results demonstrate significant improvement in performance, placing the school in the top 20% nationally for student progress. We are therefore seeking to recruit a colleague with excellent subject knowledge and clear evidence of their motivation and ability to deliver excellent outcomes for students.
Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 1700 students in the secondary phase, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy, who have an enviable reputation both locally and nationally.
This appointment provides an opportunity to strengthen our team further with a new, talented and enthusiastic STEM Coordinator who aspires to further promotion beyond this appointment. This post would suit a more experienced colleague looking to broaden their experience. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
The scale of Langdon, the fact that it also has a primary phase, and its membership of Brampton Manor Trust provide considerable opportunity for the continuing development of our staff.
Please visit our website at to find out more information about the school.
All completed application forms must be sent via the TES portal, or sent to [email protected] by the closing date below.
Closing date: Friday 22nd March 2024 at 9.00 am.
Please note: Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, as applications are received.
Brampton Manor Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children. Enhanced DBS checks will always be carried out on new employees.
Please note that this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You must give details on your application form of all offences, convictions, cautions or bind overs you have or any court cases that you have pending.
