Pertemps Milton Keynes branch is seeking an experienced Transport Clerk to join our client in Milton Keynes on an ongoing basis.
Monday to Friday £11.00ph Ongoing Work 10:00 - 18:00
The Role:
We are looking for a friendly and proactive individual with previous transport experience to assist with the day-to-day operation of an incredibly busy transport department.
Your role will entail:
- Greeting drivers with a warm smile and friendly conversation.
- Ensure that each driver receives the correct set of keys for their assigned vehicle and all necessary paperwork, such as delivery schedules or service instructions. It's all about attention to detail.
- Keeping senior staff informed of any delays, time changes or problems encountered during vehicle tracking.
- Build rapport with your drivers and establish an open line of communication.
- De-briefing to ensure that the journey was safe and efficient for both the driver and the passengers. It's a time to discuss any issues or concerns that may have arisen during the shift, allowing for adjustments to be made if necessary.

Successful Applicants If you're hoping to land the role mentioned above, it's crucial that you come from a Transport background and possess relevant experience. This means having prior involvement in various aspects of the transportation industry. Your past expertise will enable you to understand the complexities associated with this role and navigate them confidently.
Having hands-on experience will also prove advantageous when troubleshooting any challenges that may arise. A strong understanding of transport operations and regulations will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.
