• Contract Type:  Permanent / 37.5 hours per week
• Salary:  circa £33,000 plus commission plus car or car allowance
• Location: Central / South England
• Days of Work:  Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm
• Hybrid Working:  3 days in the office 2 day at home, however subject to change depending on business needs.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and professional HR People Advisor who can deliver professional HR support to our Depots across Central / South England and potentially some further sites across the UK. 

The role will require some travel as our depots are in various places across the Central / South England and the role may include some support in other areas of the country.

Key tasks will include

• Supporting line managers across the full scope of all Employee Relations (ER) cases, which will include; Misconduct, Disciplinaries, Grievances, Capability and Performance issues.
• Monitoring absence and supporting managers to take the appropriate action.
• Delivering Training to managers. 
• Assisting managers in the interpretation of policies and procedures. 
• Helping to deliver projects and our Top 10 for the year. 
• Making informed decisions that take into account the facts, goals, and risk to the business.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role it would be desirable for you to be CIPD qualified, or willing to work towards. You'll be an experienced HR professional who can evidence proven HR/People Advisor experience coupled with strong commercial outlook and continuous improvement philosophy. We would also expect;

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters displaying excellent judgement. 
• Excellent knowledge of employment law.
• Able to work in a team and alone. 
• Ability to communicate and respond to managers promptly.
• Managing a high and diverse workload. 
• Ability to plan and organise your own diary supporting the People Business Partner and Business needs. 
• Flexibility to support the operational demands of the role
• A great team player who demonstrates the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability.
• Full UK Driving Licence as travel between sites will be required
