Job description

Element has an opportunity for a MCERTS level 2 Stack Emissions Testing Team Leader whose primary role is to team lead stack emissions testing campaigns and oversee all parts of the on-site testing. Ideally we are seeking candidates based within the Birmingham area who can travel to various sites within the Midlands and Southern region. 

• Ensure all testing is completed as per method standards and requirements
• Ensure the highest level of quality is sustained throughout each testing campaign
• Driving to client sites using an Element Van 
• Site inductions and write POW risk assessments
• Oversee all health and safety considerations on site and throughout testing campaign
• Operation of sampling and test equipment to measure emission levels
• Collation of site information relating to the monitoring and corresponding process activities
• Interaction and communication with customer contacts and regulators
• Adherence to company and client health and safety protocols
• Cleaning preparation, repair, calibration and maintenance of test equipment
• Maintaining stocks of consumable items
• Handling shipments of samples to analysis laboratories
• Maintenance of numerous records in accordance with our accredited QMS

• MCERTS Level 2 Team Leader qualification required
• Interest in environmental monitoring and industrial processes
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however full training will be provided
• A full driving license is essential as extensive travel, including overnight stays
• Good team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
• You will be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, in physically strenuous situations, and where manual handling of scientific equipment is required
