Job description
Teaching Personnel is looking for a passionate and driven Mental Health Support Worker for part-time and full-time roles (up to 37 hours per week) across our fantastic partnership schools within inner and central Bristol.
Successful candidates should be committed to providing high-quality additional learning support. Knowledge of Additional Support services is a plus, but a dedication to personal and professional growth is key.
Our schools offer a wide range of academic and vocational courses serving approximately 12,000 students annually.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, your responsibilities include:
- Inspiring students, fostering eagerness to learn and helping them on their journey towards independent learning.
- Opportunities to work with students throughout the entire school.
- Collaborating with young individuals who require additional support in the classroom.
- Creating a safe and supportive atmosphere, you will play a crucial role in enabling students to maximize their educational experience.
- Successful LSA will engage in one-on-one or small group settings, assisting students with educational, behavioural, and social development.
- May involve supporting those with English as a second language, health issues, or disabilities.
The successful candidate will have 2 or more of the following:
- Experience with children, teenagers or adults with SEND needs.
- Previous employment working with young people.
- A degree in Social Science, Speech and Language or any other relevant degree.
- Passionate about making a difference and working well with young people.
- A GCSE in Mathematics and English Literature / English Language

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
