Job description
The Role
Navartis are currently collaborating with one of the UK’s most well-known freight operators to recruit a Train Driver Assessor based along the West Coast Main Line.
This role will see you reporting into the Lead Engineering Train Assessor, taking on responsibility for the training and management of competencies within the training process. A specific focus on ERTMS and ETCS is applicable to this position.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development and management of all relevant training & assessment documentation
Ensure effective systems are in place and maintained to ensure competencies with ERTMS and ETCS are maintained
Participate in business and safety meetings when required, including leading meetings when required
Provide support with technical, safety & incident investigations where required
Maintain the database of staff competencies
Additional ad-hoc duties where required
The Ideal candidate will possess:
A trainer/assessor qualification will be required for this role
Willingness to undertake further training where required
The ability to be flexible with working situations where required (E.G staying overnight at different locations while conducting a variety of assessments)
A UK driving licence to travel to different locations when needed
Thorough understanding of the UK rail industry
Knowledge of ERTMS system (ETCS would also be a bonus, but not required)
