We have a fantastic opportunity for a  Project Manager to join our team in Weston Super Mare, Somerset. We are looking for a colleague who is already within this position; or looking to take the next step in your career within the infrastructure sector. We are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Banwell, Portishead, Yate, Bristol, Chippenham, Corsham, Bath, Trowbridge, Frome, Glastonbury, Yeovil, Dorchester, Bridport, Exeter, Cullompton, Taunton, Bridgwater, Burnham and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will join our project team supporting a major infrastructure project initially in North Somerset, but also with other projects that the business wins.

On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the Project Manager will include the following (not exhaustive):

• Leading project delivery and setting standards to facilitate high performing teams
• Ensuring Management Plans and documentation required by BMS and Contract specific requirements are produced in line with the programme
• Overseeing development of Programme in line with contract requirements
• Managing and maximising the future workload with customers by monitoring, delivering & measuring Customer Satisfaction
• Complying with all BMS/SHEQ systems and in accordance with the Company H&S Roles & Responsibilities
• Ensuring works activities are carried out efficiently and to agreed program and specification
• Managing site operations to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency by understanding, adjusting and delivering an agreed scope & strategy based on tender principles
• When required, produce commercial, H&S and progress reports required by the Operations Director

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a  Project Manager who is in receipt of the following:

• ESSENTIAL - Experience of managing large projects
• An NVQ in Construction Site Management or equivalent
• CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)

If you have previous experience in the same or similar position within either the Construction or Civil Engineering sectors, this would be beneficial in your application.
