COMMISSIONING ENGINEER CONTROL AND PROTECTION HVDC
In this position, you will join the HVDC team, participating in the final phases of system testing at the client facilities. Additionally, you will take charge of commissioning tasks related to Control and Protection, as well as SCADA, at the client's site. Your responsibilities will extend to contributing to the hand-over and trial operation of HVDC links, maintaining direct communication with our clients.
Your Duties
* Coordinating and executing tasks associated with testing and commissioning, with a focus on organizing the required test equipment.
* Contributing to technical discussions with both the client and their consultants.
* Staying well-informed about the Scope and Division of Work.
* Identifying and communicating any changes to the Commissioning Manager.
* Ensuring the fulfilment of commitments to the customer, aligning with the terms of the contract.
* Providing support in the tender process for commissioning-related tasks. Participating in and analysing any disturbances that may arise in the system during commissioning and operation.
* Embodying the core values of Hitachi Energy, specifically prioritizing safety and integrity.
* This entails taking accountability for your actions while also looking out for the well-being of your colleagues and the overall business.
Your Experience and Qualifications
* Possession of a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
* Previous involvement in Control and Protection or SCADA projects, spanning from design to testing phases.
* Experience in AC sub-stations or HVDC technology.
* In-depth involvement in commissioning work across plants of varying sizes, complexities, and technologies.
* Familiarity with MACH, IEC61850, HVDC projects, and proficiency in programming IED relays are advantageous.
* Proficiency in English, both in written and spoken forms, is mandatory.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to mentor others in the commissioning domain.
* Capability to operate in compliance with relevant legislations and standards, adopting a practical and efficient approach.
* Capacity to manage multiple concurrent activities.
