A fantastic opportunity for an experienced live-in Domestic Couple to work in a stunning private residence based in Staffordshire.
The (large) estate, which is set upon 4 acres of beautiful gardens, is on the border of Shropshire and is surrounded by miles of countryside.
Our clients, a mature couple, are seeking a caring, honest and hardworking Couple to join them long-term to assist with the day-to-day running of their home.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Full housekeeping duties
- Daily cleaning, polishing, dusting, hoovering
- Laundry, care of fabrics
- Cooking of a good standard - fresh, family style cooking
- Grocery shopping
- Household errands
- Assisting with dinner parties and help clear away (external help/caterers will also be provided)
- Driving duties - some evening driving will be required on occasion
- Outside maintenance and maintaining outbuildings
- Full gardening duties for 3 different types of gardens, experience of ride-on lawnmowers
- Maintaining the upkeep of the garages
- Swimming pool service & maintenance
- General maintenance, Handyman/DIY duties/painting
- Prepare the principals' 2 other residences for their arrival (Devon & the Cotswolds)
- The Couple will be required to stay at the residence to provide security when the principals are travelling
Candidate requirements:
- A couple who are of a caring nature is essential
- Hardworking & honest
- A couple who are in good health with increased stamina
- Ability to self-manage and use initiative to know what needs to be done
- Excellent gardening experience and knowledge
- There may be a requirement to travel with the principals
- Full, clean driving licence required
- Good understanding and knowledge of security systems
- Know when to provide the principals with their privacy
- Non-smokers
- No dependants
- A small well-behaved dog will be considered
Accommodation:
A beautiful, recently renovated 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom fully furnished apartment, separate to the main residence, with lounge and kitchen. Utilities included, Wi-Fi, water & heating.
Car provided for work and personal use
Days/Hours of work:
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, working 1 weekend every month (time off in lieu provided)
- Flexibility regarding hours is required, and further information will be provided by the principals
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 gross per annum
20 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday (the clients are flexible and will try and accommodate extra holiday)
