Job description

Abstract Recruitment are currently looking for Machine Operative roles on a temporary to permanent basis for one of our clients based in Newbury.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role.

Shift: Monday to Thursday -08.00-16.30 and Friday 08.00-14.00

Pay Rate: £11.90/hour

Key responsibilities:

- Receive, process and pack parts in accordance with the technical process sheet that corresponds to the job to which he/she is assigned
- Notify the Shift Supervisor in the event of a problem with the process equipment.
- Notify the floor inspector in the event of a problem with the parts that are being processed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Complete any relevant paperwork.

Key Requirements:

- Excellent understanding of machine operations, including the ability to operate and maintain equipment to the highest standards
- Good problem solving
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, ensuring that production targets are met
- Previous experience in a similar background is desirable - metal work, engineering, machine operating
- Positive approach to multi-skilled working
- Good communication skills
