What you’ll do
To increase Volvo sales annually by constructing and managing a customer contact strategy that through customer engagements and communications to the 50+ Fleet market, delivers the highest volume of potential sales and market leading customer service.
This role exists to continually improve Volvo fleet sales through the management of all aspects of the relationship with existing and prospective clients within the pre-defined geographical region of Wales and East Midlands.
Your key deliverables will include:
The FSS role represents the direct contact between the end user customer (50+ Fleets) that chooses our products and VCUK. Their role is vital in positioning, influencing and securing fleet sales business for the short, medium and long term (3-4 years).
Key responsibilities include:
- Development of existing top 50 key accounts to maximise sales
- Implementation of top 50 lapsed and prospect account sales strategy and ensure all Volvo Cars Business Centre generated prospect appointments are actively progressed and converted to sale, to maximise sales.
- Respond to requests from customers, prospects and retailers to provide direct OEM liaison as required to maximise sales.
- Regularly review effectiveness of customer terms and propose business cases to optimise Volvo’s positioning on Fleet policies.
- Portfolio management to maximise optimum Volvo product penetration across the region.
- Supports the Fleet & Leasing Manager to develop and deliver the annual plan and budget.
- Develops and assess new business opportunities, initiatives and pricing models.
- Monitors and assess competition and product innovation, sharing FLM as necessary.
- Develops and maintains exceptional relationships with Customers, Prospects, Retailers, Leasing Company Representatives and the Volvo Car Business Centre
- To effectively manage and lead their business area to ensure VCUK delivers against the annual plan and budget.
- Sets high standards and performance goals aligned with the VCUK’s objectives and leads others to achieve these goals.
- Ensures that their business area is delivering on all strategic objectives
- Manage the resources available to ensure they keep within cost budgets.
- Continuous review of processing efficiency and control effectiveness, ensuring maximum efficiencies are delivered within an effective minimum control framework.
- Continually evaluates the effectiveness of the function and seeks to improve.
- Provides leading-edge products and services ensuring that VCUK retains its competitive edge as a premium service provider.
What you’ll bring
The successful candidate will have:
- Flexibility and creativity to sell VCUK products and services to a wide range of corporate customers.
- Sales bias with an analytical ability to ensure credibility, professionalism and maximise VCUK sales volume at least cost.
- A detailed understanding of all aspects of the fleet market.
- An ability to create innovative proposals and solutions
- Analytical reasoning
- Ability to sell an idea to internal (VCUK) and external (business clients / retailer / lease companies) customers
- Account management experience
- Experience of working in the automotive industry and having a project management is also highly desirable for this role.
- Excel, PowerPoint & Salesforce
- Sound Product Knowledge
- Working understanding of the change dynamic affecting mobility now and, in the future, (mobility and fuel dynamics)
- Educated to Degree level
