Finance Assistant

Salary: £26,000

Tunbridge wells - Hybrid ( 1 day in office every 2 weeks)

Holiday 22+ Bank holiday and 3 day shut down over Christmas and new year

Fully funded AAT Qualifications and Accountancy Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking for a career not just a job.

My client are looking to recruit individuals who have either recently graduated in finance/experience in an entry level finance role/ recently started your AAT qualifications/ A levels in finance, economics or maths/ just have a real interest in Finance.

My client is looking for someone who is enthusiastic and has a commitment to learning, they will support you and train you to do the rest! They will also facilitate and fund your studies for your AAT qualifications and accountancy qualifications. There is fantastic progression routes into the Accountancy team within this organisation. You will required to rotate every 6 months between the following roles: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Housing rent and loan and lastly Parking permits.

Day to day:

- Accounts receivable: managing all money coming into the organisation. Dealing with direct debit council tax, chasing overdue council tax, completing transfers, managing references for certain accounts but also managing the suspense account for incorrect references. Ensuring all money coming in is completed by the 10th of every month.

- Accounts Payable: completing credit runs every Wednesday. Putting through invoices from suppliers and internal but chasing those who are late. Downloading the invoices from the cloud. Calling suppliers for credit notes and reaching the 30 day pay within deadline. Dealing with 100's of invoices a month.

- Parking permits: Processing direct debits for parking permits. Renewing different parking permits within the area and suspending parking permits for not a range of reasons. Answering queries about parking permits and locations. Chasing unpaid DD for monthly parking permits. Supporting others in your team with their role.

- Housing Rent &Loans: chasing payments for unpaid rent. Working closely with the housing departments to complete investigations. Handling vulnerable individuals and following the right steps for them. Setting individuals up for payment plans if required. Supporting the debtors team as and when require for chasing unpaid debt.

Requirements:

- Either of recently graduated in finance/experience in an entry level finance role/ recently started your AAT qualifications/ A levels in finance, economics or maths/ just have a real interest in Finance.

- Wanting to take the AAT or accountancy qualifications

- Positive attitude

- Energy and enthusiasm with finance

- Willing to complete training outside of working hours to complete your qualifications
