Job description
MCL requires a Jacket Engineer on Carbon Capture and Storage Project.
Duration: for an initial 4 month contract role that has an immediate start
Rate: a target limited company rate of circa £58.00 per hour.
Location: The role will be based on 5 days a week in the clients Offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.
The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment

Requirements:
- Degree in Structural Engineering Design
- Minimum experience of 15 years having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
- Proficiency with SESAM/ SACS software is required. This is essential.
- Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902 and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to work in an office based role (with hybrid available)
