Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
We are on the lookout for a skilled Developer to join a forward-thinking team within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will be adept at software configuration and development, working on bespoke servicing platforms and RESTful API estates. This role is crucial in ensuring that operational systems meet business needs and industry best practices.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features and enhance existing functionality.
- Support the onboarding of new clients as needed.
- Design, develop, configure, unit test, and maintain software applications.
- Produce functional specifications, design documentation, and detailed release notes.
- Conduct peer reviews of development work and facilitate development to test handovers.
- Support System Test and UAT teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in systems and software development, including support of existing solutions.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET 6.0, SQL, Restful APIs, and XML/XSLT.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical staff.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, SourceTree, Jira, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of NUnit.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Iterative development methodologies.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry.
