JOB TITLE: Theatre Technical and Operations Manager
LOCATION: Spalding
SALARY: £30,296 per annum
South Holland District Council are recruiting for an experienced Technical and Operations Manager to lead the technical department at the South Holland Centre in Spalding.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at this busy venue where you will be responsible for delivering a varied programme of music, live theatre, comedy and screenings.
Reporting to the South Holland Centre Manager, your role will be to manage the day-to-day operation and activities of the technical team and ensuring technical requirements for all productions, events and screenings are met to the highest possible standards. Managing health and safety compliance, policy and procedure at the centre will be a key part of the role and a recognised health and safety qualification would be an advantage.
Duties will include:
Providing the highest standards of technical support, lighting and sound for our incoming hirers, companies and promoters.
Ensuring equipment is well maintained and health and safety standards are adhered to.
Managing the technical staff rota to ensure shifts are adequately staffed.
Line management of your team of technicians.
We are looking for a great communicator who is experienced in successfully motivating and managing teams, with excellent literacy and numeracy skills and a passion for performing arts. Experience working with community groups in delivering projects would be desirable. You should be able to demonstrate substantial experience of working in a technical department within the field of performing arts or live events.
