Financial Controller

A leading property company located in North London are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join their team.
This is a full-time position that will report to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and monitoring compliance for financial policies, procedures and frameworks to manage and maintain compliance across the business
- Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Managing the team who process transactions and the treasury function
- Prepare annual Service Charge for sales and lettings in accordance with the lease terms and conditions and in compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Monitor and track performance against budget and prepares variance reports. Business partners with relevant teams.
- Producing management accounts and financial reports
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring tax compliance
- Supporting preparation of service charges and rent increases
- Supporting the annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts
- Plans, manages and communicates weekly and monthly deadlines to teams in order to meet financial requirements.
- Manage and oversee the processing and balancing of balance sheet accounts as well as the day-to-day processing of transactions as required.
Candidates applying should ideally hold a relevant accounting qualification such as AAT/ACCA/ACA however candidates qualified by experience will also be considered for this role.
