About the Job
We are looking for someone with a strong Adult Social Care market background to support and maintain our priorities with care providers. Previous experience of working in recruitment would be advantageous.
Our website allows us to be the one stop shop in West Sussex for information on working in care, advertising vacancies, and encouraging candidates to join the care market and apply for a job.
This is a diverse role communicating with and supporting the market daily, gathering soft intelligence, information and data and working with a range of stakeholders to influence and support quality workforce development in West Sussex.

Join us – Make a difference in our communities
• West Sussex County Council is a diverse organisation that provides services to more than 850,000 residents every day. The Proud to Care Team supports Adults Social Care employers to promote jobs in care as work/careers of choice to help close the rising workforce shortfall. This is to support the care market external to the Council operating in West Sussex.
• The Health and Social Care Act sets out a range of responsibilities for all local authorities and these include provision of information and advice, market shaping, managing service availability and preventing provider failure and other service interruptions.
The care and support markets are currently experiencing unprecedented challenges, with continuous operational and financial pressures at a national and local level.

As a team our priorities include:
• Promote the Proud to Care offer to job seekers and care providers
• Deliver engaging marketing and communication activity for job vacancies in the Adults Social Care sector across West Sussex
• Promote career pathways within the care sector including apprenticeships
• Recruit more care workers to improve the conversion of expressions of interest into vacancy fulfilment
• Offer direct support to West Sussex care providers on recruitment and retention
• Collaborate with Adults Commissioning & Contracts colleagues to support business needs
