Post:  IT Manager

Salary:  From £36,327 to £38,062 per annum

The board of Trustees at Vision Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated IT Manager to lead and manage the IT support across the school sites and manage the IT team. This will ensure the delivery of IT services and technical support to the staff team and pupils across the Vision MAT family of schools. This will ensure that the Academy Trust’s IT infrastructure runs effectively and efficiently.

Elevate your career by taking on the role of guiding and steering IT support operations across our school sites. As the strategic leader overseeing the IT team, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the delivery of top-notch IT services and technical support to both staff and pupils within the Vision MAT family of schools.

Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of the Trust's IT infrastructure, guaranteeing its effectiveness and efficiency. This unique opportunity allows you to not only manage but strategically shape the technological landscape of our academies, contributing to the overall success and advancement of the Vision MAT family.

There are currently four schools in the Multi Academy Trust, located across Bury Greater Manchester. We anticipate further growth into the future and therefore it is essential that the successful candidate can meet the logistical demands of the post- working and travelling across the Vision MAT estate and from site to site as required.

What we need for our Trust:

1. Technology Infrastructure:

Implement secure and sustainable technology solutions, focusing on robust broadband and wireless connectivity to meet the demands of our Trust.

2. Apple Certified Teaching Partnership:

Collaborate with Apple Certified Teachers and IT teaching providers to foster skilled and creative teaching practices. Develop a comprehensive professional development (CPD) program for staff, ensuring an integrated approach that promotes an innovative curriculum and creates a dynamic classroom environment where IT supports learning.

3. Digital Literacy for Employees:

Provide access to essential hardware, software, and apps, fostering a digitally confident workforce. Cultivate a culture where information technology serves as a key driver, empowering employees with digital literacy skills.

4. Efficient Communication and Administration:

Establish robust and secure communication and administration systems, optimising efficiency and saving time for staff. Ensure that these systems are tailored to the specific needs of an enterprise organisation.

5. Innovative Learning Solutions:

Implement innovative learning platforms such as Pixl School, Accelerated Reader, and Learning by Questions. Leverage these tools not only for exciting learning experiences but also as a strategic means to market our enterprise, celebrate achievements, and boost confidence among employees.

6. Trust Ambassador and Market Leader: 

Serve as an ambassador for our trust, promoting our achievements and unique teaching approaches. Contribute to making our organisation a benchmark for others to aspire to, potentially generating income for the trust.

7. Mentorship and Strategic Management:

Mentor the newly appointed IT technician, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle operational tasks. This allows you to focus on strategic initiatives, demonstrating a self-driven and innovative approach in dealing with a diverse range of competencies.

8. Key Personal Attributes:

Demonstrate self-management, a willingness to take risks, and innovation in driving IT initiatives. Maintain a personable demeanor, recognising the need to engage with a wide range of competencies within the enterprise environment.
